This is the fingertip pulse oximeter that detects and records arterial pulsations. Unlike standard models that only measure beats per minute and blood oxygen level, this unit uses the same technology found in hospitals to also measure aortic pulse wave velocity, providing insight into cardiovascular fitness and potential health risks. It detects the speed at which wave pulses from each heartbeat travel through the circulatory system, providing its wearer with information on one’s aortic stiffness and corresponding internal age.
