The Rain Reservoir Planter
This is the colonial-style planter box with a hidden 50-gallon water reservoir that stores and dispenses rainwater. Without disrupting the consistency of your outdoor decor, it sits flush against a home’s exterior, connects to (and obscures) a home’s downspout, and allows rainwater to collect, providing a catchment of water to use for a garden or ornamental plants.
A mesh screen prevents gutter debris or curious animals from entering the reservoir. Two sturdy brass spigots—lower in front and higher on the left—enable hookup to a hose for watering plants or for filling watering cans.
