Rhinoceros Beetle/Kabuto is a large sized beetle reaching more than 30-54mm (excluding a horn). You can see adult rhinoceros beetles only in summer. Japanese name, Kabutomushi comes from a big horn and it looks like a kabuto, Japanese samurai’s battle helmet. Only male rhinoceros beetles have horns. They use horns for fighting.
