Xantrex Xpower Powerpack Solar

The XPower Powerpack Solar is the first portable power pack that incorporates solar power in a compact, portable power source. It s completely self-renewing, which means the detachable 5-watt solar panel has the ability to recharge the power pack s 10 amp-hour battery. The 5-watt solar panel captures, stores and converts the sun s renewable energy, replenishes the XPower Powerpack Solar s battery, and extends the runtime of many devices by up to 25 percent.

Really Nice Design. Would be OK for emergencies, But be aware. Can NOT use when charging!
A 12 Volt 10Ah battery charging at 5 Watt Rate (Solar Output) is only .3007 Amps (1/3 Amp) and this is in BRIGHT sunlight. Soooooo, it will take over 40 hours to charge this thing. This is 5 whole days that you will be pointing this thing at the sun, if the sun shines brightly for the whole 8 hours every day where you live. (Unless you live in extreme polar regions during daylight then it will only be two days, Yikes!) Available on Amazon Search for $129 Selling on eBay for $200 Ouch! (Both Free Shipping)
